Meet Your Editor
My first editorial work was accidental. I edited an essay for my friend, who then asked me to edit a college admissions essay. I quickly found that most of my classmates struggled to put their thoughts to paper for everything from short responses to ten-page papers. My feedback gained a reputation for grade-saving, and I gained a new love of editing I didn’t know I had in me.
I keep that initial drive to be helpful with me to every project that I take on. With me as your editor, you’ll get professional assistance and find the next biggest fan of your work.
My Resume
Over the course of my professional and academic career, I’ve edited websites, articles, essays, ad campaigns, and both fiction and nonfiction book manuscripts. No matter how specific your project is, I’m confident in my ability to provide substantial and constructive editorial feedback.
While I’ve enjoyed exploring, my heart will always come back to science fiction, fantasy, and the power of telling queer stories. When I’m not in front of my computer, you’ll find me at conventions, workshops, and bookstores, looking for a new book to read. You can find my most current writing on Inglenook Literary Magazine‘s website where I am a columnist.

Newsroom Work
I previously enjoyed a position as the Arizona State Press arts and culture editor where I oversaw their column, The Echo. While there, I worked to improve the overall writing and coverage of the column, and saw incredible success doing so. My editorial abilities received individual praise from management for my speed, efficacy, and encouraging attitude. I have been credited with saving the arts and culture section from retirement.

Fiction Writing and Editing
During my college career, I attended numerous fiction workshop courses where I reviewed my classmate’s work with the guidance of creative writing professors, many of whom were published authors. I honed those skills as a moderator at my local writer’s group, Central Phoenix Writing Workshop and recently attended the Yale Writers’ Workshop, where I worked with other writers and was mentored by author Molly Gaudry.

Publishing Experience
I have also worked with a number of publications in internships that allowed me to gain professional communication skills and inside knowledge about the publishing industry. I interned for Superstition Review in 2021, BLF Press in 2023, and I worked as marketing specialist for Zócalo Public Square in 2023. Since graduating college, I’ve interned with The Strand Mystery Magazine and worked as a submission reader for Uncharted Magazine.

Write more than ever before
Having a good editor should be like having an extra hand on the keyboard. My experience and editorial skills will make any writing project quicker and easier than it’s ever been before.
